And then she became County Supervisor and THEN Congress.

Congress is made up of older people cause they’ve put in the work. Because it takes work to understand government.

I’m not asking you to wait 20 years, but get elected to something else first. Anything else. Prove you can get elected.

And with this influx of young people with no experience running for Congress, I can’t see it being for anything else.

If you really want to make a difference, start local. Look at Rep Adelita Grijalva. She was on the Tuscon Unified School District Board for 20 years.

There are just a lot of people with failed high profile candidacies and nothing to back that up.

Congressional campaigns are also really expensive, and, especially if you’re just trying to primary a Dem, who is not going anywhere, all you’re doing is taking funding

that could be going to ousting a Republican and using it to divide the party further.

Campaigning is about celebrity, it sucks, but it is, but governing isn’t. You can’t get by on nice Instagram videos and the most TikTok followers.

Why has everyone decided that they should START their political career in Congress?

When I tell people to “run for something,” I mean school board, city council, board of supervisors, town select board, water board, state house/assembly, maybe even mayor.

The only time I will ever mean Congress is when there isn’t another Dem running. Congress is not the place to learn the ropes of how government works. It’s not the first stepping stone.

We need a bench, if everyone runs for Congress, there is no bench.

If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.

If joking about Charlie Kirk is considered “violent rhetoric,” how do we describe open calls to hang members of Congress?

Disagree. Even if they're bad at it, it keeps them from being in a verbal and rhetorical crouch, which is more important.

Don't give a shit if they're cringey in their swearing.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

When you go through the evidence laid out in our report, it’s clear that JPMC should face criminal investigation for the way it enabled Epstein’s horrific crimes. I'll keep following the money until we get justice and those that enabled his atrocities are held accountable.

So it's not just Trump and Bondi running interference for pedophiles. Bessent is a key part of the Epstein coverup. I plan to seek Senate approval of my bill to force the Treasury Department to release its Epstein file in the coming weeks because we need to keep on following the money.

You all know I've been after the Treasury Department's own Epstein file. It's a set of thousands of detailed bank records, a map of Epstein's financial network. Secretary Bessent is blocking its release – and he denies it's even something Treasury should be investigating.
