I wish journalists would stop framing political news as wins or losses for politicians or political parties. It’s an abrogation of our mission. Why do we keep doing this? Is the spending bill a win or loss for the American people? Who does it help? Who does it hurt? Is it sound policy? Fiscally?

Yep, it's rough watching everyone from late night hosts to lightweight tech YouTubers explain the still dangerous effects & likely intents of this erratic policy both more honestly & accessibly than news outlets. Since Colbert explains how 125% tariffs on China are a systematic risk, CNN should too.
Absolutely excruciating to see the BBC, CNN and everyone else dressing up Trump's industrial-scale stock market fraud as "relief", "making nice" or a "climb down". Wittingly or unwittingly, our media are once again accomplices.
