“believing victims” is actually about providing victims the support they need in their healing process without gating it behind arbitrary qualification of their victimhood. “believing victims” does not obligate you to prove that belief or to agree to any and all requests or demands a victim makes.
you say "innocent until proven guilty" to the right person and they'll call you an enabler. say "just because this person fucked up in your relationship doesn't make them An Abuser" and they'll get just as mad at you for ~not listening to victims~

Agreed. I overheard a gas station clerk say he was struggling to afford presents for his kids, and he got pissy when I explained that he's actually doing well. Maybe if he took a loan to get another degree in the downtime between that and his two gig jobs, he'd learn how to read a graph 💅
