For as long as I live, I'll never get over the fact that we've walked on the moon, harnessed the sun's power, and made it possible to send messages around the planet in mere seconds...

...yet we're still so stupidly primitive we think where you were born should determine what rights you have.
If you've ever experienced burnout at work and thought "I'd love to bring this feeling into my personal life," I highly recommend having a baby.

A while back I came up with an idea similar to Dead Internet Theory, but where literally nobody has actually read the Bible in like 40 years, and I gotta tell ya: I'm not even looking for evidence, but front loaders full of it just keep showing up at my door.

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

I think `animation-composition: accumulate` is gonna see more action with `random()`, as it's like "take what you already got as a value and augment it rather than replace it".

Here's a parallax thing where randomly-fixed-positioned stars are moved different amounts (with a scroll-driven animation)

Based on what I've seen from Bluesky mods recently, a completely honest answer to this question would probably get me suspended.

But let's start with: the tax rate above, say, 10 million dollars should be 100%, with zero exemptions, enforced by our most severe criminal penalties.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

New Baby - not as advertised
★☆☆☆☆

Arrived four weeks ago. Occasional good moments completely overshadowed by constant maintenance; can't even sleep for more than 2–3 hours at a time, max. Though wildly unpredictable, confirmed not defective. Promise of life-changing bliss dramatically overstated.

I don't listen to country music often, but every time I do, it strikes me that it's really just what rock *was* 20–30 years ago. The entire genre is just radio rock, a generation late.

Darius Rucker didn't go so much "go country" as Hootie and the Blowfish just aged into it.

Glad to see Polygon cover the resistance of game developers to generative AI--and to be able to speak briefly to one of the greatest dangers of this entire thing.

Gen AI doubles down on making MORE SPACE for production issues that *already make games worse.*

It's hilarious that so many R's have spent so long swapping out their principles to benefit their own team, they genuinely believe that's how everyone thinks.

First off: that's literally the opposite of what principles are.

And second: your average Dem hates other Dems more than you ever could.
99% of Republicans understand nothing about intraleft politics. they’re still saying shit like “you won’t be so happy when BILL CLINTON is implicated will you?”

A lot of people are marveling at how Epstein's powerful and wealthy friends were more careless in their comms than a basic weed dealer.

And while that's maybe shocking on one level: I can't help but see it as each group knowing full well who the legal system is *for,* and who it's *against.*

I know there are dozens of worse hypocrisies, but I just find it particularly vile that the guys behind "Sleepy Joe" and "Let's Go Brandon" think anyone who says anything bad about the President should get sued for a billion dollars.
