This would be a reasonable explanation for so much of what’s going on

I love that we live in a world where we're all supposed to now praise Trump for his peace-making and ignore the fact that at least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed on his watch, with bombs & bullets - & rhetorical support! - that he supplied to Israel.
That's all erased now.

Killing people we disagree with is wrong in every way, whether it’s Melissa Hortman or Charlie Kirk. This is especially true in a country awash with guns and run by fascists looking to amplify their already militarized policies.

No thoughts and prayers. Down with fascism and up with gun control.

When I studied in Jordan I talked to a lot of Jordanians and Palestinians about the history and Americas ‘melting pot’ would come up a lot to describe Palestine in contrast to the story of one group belonging.
Aways has been a diverse crossroads, always will be, inshallah.
Speaking on Novara Media, Scottish historian William Dalrymple explained that the name Palestine is rooted deep in history

Donald Trump promised peace in Gaza, but he's abandoned ceasefire talks while babies starve.

If Trump is too weak to act, then Congress must step up. No more U.S. military support for Netanyahu to wage war in Gaza.

We’ve heard more about whether or not a mayoral candidate in NYC condemns certain language than we’ve heard about starvation in Gaza.

It’s absolutely unacceptable.

Children are starving to death and our government is helping fund it.

Again, the government is arguing that even if a court determines you are NOT a danger to the public, they can unilaterally decide that you *are*. That's fucking terrifying.

Yea. We’ve done this.

I thought even average Americans (MAGA brained or not) were on the same page that we don’t trust this specific type of garbage that gets American soldiers and innocent populations killed anymore.

But I guess I’m endlessly naive
If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.

I'm saddened to think of the long string of consequences that will result from President Trump's decision to let Prime Minister Netanyahu drag the United States into war with Iran. A great deal of unnecessary human suffering will result -- and a stronger Iranian determination to get a nuclear bomb.

For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.
