A 1959 Willys Jeep that my dad had bought off some guy at a Maine gas station as a "plow the driveway" machine. When I turned 18 and needed a car to drive to work he sold it to me for $1 on the condition I continued plowing the driveway.

For sure. If Van Epps wins this Trump +22 district by single digits a whole bunch of elected Republicans in less solid seats will start eyeing the exit.
A narrow Van Epps win would be a very bad scenario for the GOP. (I won't try to spin it as worse than a loss.) No wake-up call to course-correct, but still a sign that the national environment is godawful for them and their vulnerable members are about to be lambs to the slaughter in 2026.
I've said before that Democrats need to pick this one up to shake the earth, but this result, if predictive, would be profound.
If Dems overperform Harris by this margin (15 points) in every district and state in 2026, they would pick up about 50 House seats and 5 Senate seats.
