If you start your article about the military invasion of the state's largest city by finding a bunch of bigot white people who don't live anywhere near that city and frame the residents who don't want assault rifles pointed at them and their friends/family as "seething" you are very bad at your job.

every memorial day I think about what my dad (who is Canadian) has told me since I as a little tiny kid: memorials to those who have died in war should never be a way to glorify dying in war, but rather a reminder why we should try to do everything we can to prevent war from happening to begin with
