Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

In the midst of a government shutdown, as masked ICE agents roam America’s cities with impunity, with lines at food banks across the country growing, and farmers at risk as America bails out Argentina instead…

Honestly it's so on the nose to me it's just funny. Like who cares. Dig up George Washingtons corpse and deport it back to england. No rules just right
I'm not a West Wing obsessed lib or anything but the more I see pictures of this the more fucked up I think it is. It's like he cut off one of the hands of the Lincoln memorial with an angle grinder so he could add a big gun to it.
The Treasury Department instructed employees not to share to share photos of the demolition of parts of the White House’s East Wing

Seriously, Nintendo would have the easiest time of any major current game company making their vast library of games permanently available because they have the least licensing/external legal issues to worry about.

They don’t keep most of their games in circulation because they just don’t wanna.
The only reason games aren't "forever" is because they refuse to preserve them. I can buy a film from 1939 in 4K but fuck me if I wanna play Twilight Princess on my Switch.

For all those rightwingers crying about how “DeMoCrAtS GerRyMaNdEr ToO,” just ask them if they support a nationwide ban on gerrymandering. We do. They don’t. They’re not mad at the concept of gerrymandering, they’re mad that they don’t get to be the only party wielding it anymore.

The thing that stands out here is so many Dems run campaigns terrified of (and thus buying into) the Fox News framing.

Mamdani is rightly mocking that framing as ridiculous and it resonates. He's not running scared. He's running proud of who he is and what he stands for.
Good morning! I'm in Uganda to visit family and friends.

But depending on your perspective, don't worry or I'm sorry: I'll be back by the end of the month.

See you soon, NYC.

I think the idea that “The President is simultaneously an institution beyond the reach of criminal law and also a private person who can file $10 billion defamation suits when he dislikes a news article” is not very sensible.

I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

Everyone like this needs to be hounded out of the Democratic Party. These are people who genuinely believe a permanent Trump/GOP trifecta is a better outcome than policy being slightly left of their preferences. They are a major reason why millions of people who agree with Dems don't bother to vote.

have a @play.date with a broken crank that does not seem to be repairable. Panic support so far is giving the impression that there is nothing to be done, which is disappointing to say the least. Apart from the crank the device is flawless and in perfect shape.
