A belief that I hold strongly is that it is crucial that we must only refer to Yarvin by his moniker Mencius Moldbug. It makes plain how ridiculous he is and how little regard his ideas are due.
At around the 22-25 minute marks, Yarvin, JD Vance’s court philosopher, proposes a system where black people would be made wards of religious ministers, who could force them to work as indentured servants and require them to submit to 24/7 “air-tag” monitoring.
It's amusing to observe Curtis Yarvin in this setting. He seems quite in love with the sound of his own voice. And most of his utterances are the sort of banalities you'd expect of a recent autodidact—wowed by the most superficial connections, and lacking deeper contextual knowledge.

Every time I open up one of these threads it's always a ton of cis people telling each other “exaaaaactlyyyy”
I'm sorry, but there absolutely ARE legitimate concerns.

A kid with XY chromosomes who identifies as female but hasn't medically transitioned in any way is a trans kid. And THAT SPECIFIC trans kid probably should not be playing on the girl's basketball team despite their identification as female.
Buttigieg said parents have legitimate concerns.

To be clear: If you cannot be relied on to unequivocally defend transgender kids, you can’t be relied on to defend anyone or anything.

CCP coming for the fujos? Is nothing sacred anymore?
"Across China, authorities have been interrogating dozens of writers -- many of them young women -- who published gay erotic novels online, in what appears to be the largest police roundup of its kind to date."

Actually, I do think that it is more noble to fight for self-determination and statehood than it is to fight to prevent that. If Israel weren't engaged in a longstanding illegal occupation of Palestine and there was interstate violence I might agree, but that is just not the case.

conspiracy theories are also the main gateway into anti-semitism
For all the talk about “hard truths” etc that propagate our discourse we really don’t discuss how coddling conspiracy theorists has made things worse for everyone.

who care
Some GOP members feel helpless as DOGE cuts hit.

A growing number of congressional Republicans are desperately trying to back-channel with White House officials as Trump’s DOGE ramps up its slash-and-burn firings of federal workers.

the existence of individual persons not in government who must be flattered in order to maintain the stability of that government is an argument for the guillotine, not flattery
Ezra Klein seems genuinely shocked that the Biden administration could put something silly like labor rights ahead of flattering the egos of the superrich.
