Yes and properly fund legal aid. So much cheaper to resolve a case quickly and correctly than drag it out over years.
Dear GOD if you want to save money in the asylum system
1. LET ASYLUM SEEKERS WORK
2. FAST TRACK STATUS FOR EVERYONE FROM CLEARLY UNDAFE COUNTRIES like Sudan, Syria, etc
3. Run an asylum accommodation system that is NOT FOR PROFIT #r4today

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK
2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

Labour going even further on weakening protections for modern slavery and trafficking victims. When your government is worse on areas of migrants rights than Theresa May it's time to question what you're doing. You definitely can't pretend to be the "progressive".

If only there had been some way of predicting this entirely predictable, and inevitable, outcome. You don't reduce channel crossings by sending people back to France, or anywhere else, you just create a never ending cycle of people for gangs to prey upon.

I sat in the British Library reading League of Empire Loyalists, BNP & National Front literature for my book and even they claimed to promote *voluntary* repatriation. Forcible deportation was always the ghost behind those ideas, but it’s amazing that UK politicians don’t even bother to hide it.
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?
