we passed this point long ago. the Christchurch shooter murdered more than 50 people for the memes. if you don't realize that was part of the point for him you don't understand this stuff.
The prospect of large scale violence committed, more or less, for the memes, is terrifying. And if we're not there already, we are rapidly speeding towards it.
If this was straightforward internecine conflict of fash-on-fash violence, that would be a difficult concept to swallow for most people.

But the idea that young disturbed men are using "normal" political categories as accoutrements to their abyssal anti-logic... where do you even fucking start?

this is the only new info on Tyler Robinson I've seen in a couple hours. It's from a former classmate of his who doesn't describe him as left or right, but incredibly reddit brained.

still not enough out there for me to feel confident defining this guy's politics.

That's why I keep saying: fascism, the ultimate end of reactionary politics, is not an alternative ideology or set of principles. It is their absence. It's a permission structure, license to slough off the voice of conscience, join a thought-deafening mob, and indulge your basest instincts.

And it’s about why these companies don’t deserve our trust or our forgiveness.
