vague, un-falsifiable, and asymmetric motion. But the real issue is the lack of Hegelian representation to argue that the state is the march of God in history.

cheat code: go through life asking if something is maxim-universalizable-coded
So many men go through life like that. You can play poker because it's right-coded, you can't enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks because they're women-coded, you can't lick an ice cream cone because it's gay-coded. All day, every day, choosing and judging things based on coding for narrow norms.

finished a good book on US secularism. Near the end tho he brought up the (correct) point that postliberals left and right liked Taylor’s Secular Age for different reasons. But he made Taylor sound more reactionary than I remember. I thought it was more Taylor reception than the actual text

when Rousseau talked about being “forced to be free” he meant deleting the accounts of HR specialists at midsize companies
when I say a responsible government *should* heavily monitor social media, I’m of course referring to LinkedIn. Heavy censorship might be required to reduce flood of apocalyptic corporate cringe posting

Whining, mostly.

tangential but you can see in Hochman just how vapid and thoughtless the right’s use of “liberalism” is
it's wild how Hochman worked his way upwards into the Senate after getting fired for this
"The truth is that there are simply people who are antisocial by nature, and their capacity for living in an advanced society is made possible only by a vigilant law."
