You know I could scream until I’m blue in the face about how we elected literal fascists to the executive branch but for some reason it just doesn’t seem to matter anymore

Anyway, I’m still going to be loud queer and AuDHD in speaking the truth of my life and I’ll bite back if threatened
This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.
Establishing the President's Make America Healthy Again Commission
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered: Section 1.

The notion that you can separate LGB from T is as impossible, absurd, and suicidally self-destructive as the idea of one of these snakes choosing to separate itself from the other

The hidden history of trans health care
Trump calls gender-affirming care a "dangerous trend." It's older than he is—and way less dangerous.

As much as I regret to inform you that I am sharing a NYT article, this one is worth the read
One of the best articles I’ve read about the age we are entering.

And it touches on something that we need to discuss more: in authoritarianism it is *logical* to cede power to those in power.

Or rather, it is seemingly logical. Ultimately, even after you give in, they’ll come for you.
Opinion | To Obey Trump or Not to Obey (Gift Article)
The voluntarily surrender of the public’s power is how autocracies are built.

This (among many similar tragedies) is why we fight. We want there to be a future worth living for. I’m so sorry to this family, it truly hurts to see this
In a new lawsuit filed against Trump by state AGs, a family with a trans kid shares she died by suicide last month citing fears Trump would deny her access to gender-affirming care. "Her parents have expressed fear...that what happened to their daughter does not happen to other children."

hey champs if you live in these states you should be calling your state reps *today* and advocating for trans people
A/P [Feb 5] -- Bills have been introduced in Arizona, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Montana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas & Virginia that would cut off public funding for gender affirming care for _adults_. Georgia's is the first to advance out of committee.

The transgender care fight targets more adults as Georgia and other states weigh laws
Conservatives’ nationwide offensive against transgender care is increasing trying to cut off care for transgender adults, and a panel of Georgia lawmakers has become the first in 2025 to move forward.

FYI, the numbers for the Pennsylvania AG Michelle Henry are (717) 787-3391 for the Harrisburg office and (412) 565-5135 for the Pittsburgh office. I suggest calling one of those if you can
Fifteen Democratic state attorneys issued a joint statement vowing to protect access to gender-affirming healthcare amid the Trump administration’s attacks on transgender people, which include a new executive order aiming to ban trans girls and women from competing on female sports teams.

It was never about the grocery prices
The disparity between the simple factual news reports of what’s happening and the pundit/op-ed class still doing the “huh I wonder what the Trump administration is all about” has never been greater
