Academics and technologists are sounding the alarm about a growing crisis in scholarship as we know it: AI-generated citations of nonexistent papers that have infested real journals. Despite being fake, the sources are widely assumed to be authentic the more they appear in published literature.

Not a good look for a fossil-fuel enamoured province that claims to contribute so much to the economic wellbeing of Canadians.

Question 8: WHY ARE SO MANY ALBERTANS SO POOR? bsky.app/profile/kims... #abpoli #cdnpoli
Last year, Alberta had the highest percentage of people living in food-insecure households of all the provinces.

Only Northwest Territories and Nunavut were worse.

WEAR A WELL-FITTING N95 CONTINUOUSLY IN ALL INDOOR PUBLIC SPACES, wash your hands (flu, unlike covid, persists on surfaces for hours to days), and get vaccinated. N95s are the most important thing. Public health that doesn't focus on them--and clean indoor public air--is not, in fact, public health.
