This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

Yes a shutdown would have consequences.

And a Republican President, Republican House, and Republican Senate would be responsible.

They have acted in a unilateral and unprecedented way.

Democrats cannot cave. They must fight back.

Extraordinary moment — Nancy Pelosi issues a statement calling on Democratic senators to reject the House funding bill, i.e. to defy Chuck Schumer.

"Democratic senators should listen to the women," she says, referring to Murray/DeLauro who want a 1-month stopgap bill instead.

Congrats Chuck Schumer you have thoroughly misplayed the funding fight. You’ve done everything possible to take ownership of it, despite democrats having no levers in govt.

Are ya new?

Imagine Elon Musk posting this about the European Union when he took Chinese money for his Tesla Gigafactory and supports giving parts of Ukraine to Russia after their invasion.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Judge Alsup is reconsidering his earlier decision that he lacked jurisdiction to consider many claims brought by federal employees and their unions because those grievances must be "channeled" through federal agencies. He suggested that that's not possible because Trump "destroyed" those agencies.

Trump’s allies are all so grotesquely twisted.

The South African oligarch in Trump’s orbit knows absolutely nothing about American patriotism and proper allegiances.

Sen. Mark Kelly is deeply beloved and honored in this country — whereas Elon Musk is wholly despised.
