Largely unfunded retiree. Collector of cats, dogs, and non-functional workshop equipment. Likes toy trains, motorcycles, fried food, and sniffing nitromethane. Broadly left. Intolerant of wankers of any stripe. Holds grudges for decades.

Leave your own water glass somewhere the cat can reach and tell them it's not theirs. Works every time.
Anyone know how to make a cat drink more water?

If you live in a walkable railway suburb with a job in the city and choose to drive everywhere and whinge about traffic, you should be forced to give up your house to someone economically forced to live in a dismal car suburb who would prefer not to. Without compensation.

Apropos of nothing very much, I always find it hilarious, whenever, some celebrity of the creative world turns out to be a bit of a dick, watching the gymnastics of a significant %age of the online world performatively establishing that, either they always thought they were mediocre, or that...

I’m really really tired of Everybody-Is-Twelve World.

Middle school sucked the first time and I have no desire to repeat it in my 50s.

As I've said *many* times, the Australian political class is a relatively tiny, but viciously exclusive, clique. If you're not part of it by the time you hit Year 11, you're pretty much fucked if you have ambitions for elected office beyond regional shire level.
This kind of thing happens because if you ever met a bunch of Young Labor people, their main topic of conversation is getting staffer jobs.
Doesn't say much for Australia's security if we can't bring 40 kids and their mothers home.
Even less for our humanity.

Gingerly eating a bag of Hula Hoops and noticed the “no msg ✔️” on the packet. So I just went and added some MSG and shook the bag and they taste infinitely better. I recommend this to all foods that brag they’re MSG free

Unpopular opinion. Ability to play chess is an absolutely shithouse analogue for having an intellect useful in any field *other* than moving little figures around on an 8x8 board.

Car dependency is expensive, yes, but living in a walkable/bikeable area well served by public transit is *also* really expensive. In order to free people from the financial stranglehold of car dependency, we need to make the alternative more affordable.
