I think I got all emotional on main last night about how united the people of Minnesota are and how there are so many people who just want to do something, anything, to help. So many people doing so many things. And sometimes it's simply something like this. ❤️😭😍🦆
I was dropping off some books at the library. When I came back, I saw someone had put, get this, a little duck on my hood up against the windshield. Looking left and right, the other cars had also been treated to similar looking ducks. Thanks, mystery duckmaster, for this duck duck kind duck!

I posted this over on Threads. It's always felt low key over there, mostly tech bros and Instagram influencers. But this particular post attracted a slew of very angry MAGA reply accounts, all newly minted with about 0-9 followers each. So yea, Threads has bot problem. Nice to be here on BSKY.

A meeting is good, but that’s all it is. Be a leader, protect your workers, protect the community, Target.
🚨 BREAKING: MN clergy have successfully secured a meeting with Target CEO Brian Cornell!

🔊 We’re glad Cornell agreed to meet. But real leadership means action. We’ll keep organizing until Target uses its power to protect its workers, its customers, and communities across our state.

The people of Minneapolis are highly engaged in defending our community from the federal occupation. A meeting in the Whittier neighborhood last night required three overflow rooms, with speakers having to go room to room to make sure everyone heard them. 838 people at Whittier Elementary.

21 y/o activist injured by ICE: I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. I can't sneeze or cough because it's dangerous to. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull.

This story is not getting enough attention.

4 male ICE agents tackle a woman U.S. citizen—lift her off ground with no concern over groping her breast or exposing her midriff.

"Help me! Help me!" she cries out. "Check my ID!"

Agents shove her into back of SUV hitting her head—literally run away from scene of crime.

Where is the business community and corporate leaders of Minnesota based companies in speaking up? Why aren't the big law firms sending lawyers to represent the people being attacked?

We are not at the end of this authoritarianism, we are at the beginning. And, sadly, we are on our own.

In case you’re wondering, this is Army driving. Go fast, never slow down, never signal what you’re going to do. To not makes you a target. It’s how you’re taught to drive in a war zone, not a US city.
One detail about the MPLS ICE invasion that I haven't seen many comment on: these goons drive like maniacs and they're eventually going to run someone over. They speed, run red lights every chance they get, and because they don't know the roads, they're constantly going the wrong way down one-ways.

It's easy enough to dismiss the administration's lies—what's remarkable is the local officials’ directly calling out the authorities. trib.al/z18Nb1v

Mayor Jacob Frey described Noem’s claims as “bullshit,” while Minnesota Governor Tim Walz decried the administration’s “propaganda.”

"Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

This video was filmed yesterday in St. Louis Park, MN — a nearby suburb of Minneapolis. I do not know the person who filmed it, but this incident is very clear and terrifying example of what has been happening here over the past week or so.

"Minneapolis prosecutors must try. Not trying would make them complicit in this evil." Elie Mystal is probably my favorite legal scholar of this era. His moral clarity is without peer in the field.
The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good must be prosecuted for murder. He enjoys no immunity from state murder charges.
Then, Blue state governors must call up their National Guard to protect us from the armed ICE terrorists.
