Until I went in and watched this it was just a brown bird who was having fun in the tree with another. It was not a Brown Thrasher, but a juvenile Eastern Towee! The adults seen last winter were mostly black. The giggle was a cousin on the phone when I asked her to shush. ☺️🪶 #birds

Here’s an adult Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis), on the island of Komodo back in late July. I saw bigger dragons on my visit, but this one was the most photogenic of the lot. Shot with my trusty 100-300 “lizard lens” from about 10m away. #herps 🦎

Saw bees in the flowers and wanted to put their photo on iNat, but the sun was so bright I couldn’t really see my old cracked phone screen. I just aimed hoping for the best.
Honestly I’m kind of pissed they turned out so nice, my phone’s autofocus doesn’t need my skill at all
