RIP Keith, may you find beats in the white noise
It grieves me beyond words to share the sad news that, after some months of suffering from glioblastoma, #JDTwitch of @optimo-espacio.bsky.social has passed. His #Optimo partner JD Wilkes has posted this message on their Instagram account.

Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

It’s not exposed as a public API, but I figured out a way to read it and make it sound like an old wooden door.

Saw a gig poster for Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich and thought "surely they're all dead" and oh boy this makes the Black Lace timeline look easy.

They're onto the 3rd iteration of Mick and Tich, with Beaky the only original, although they did burn through two more Beakys in the 90s and 00s.

NE VER MORE MORE MORE
Says the raven in my room
By my door door door
It's symbolic of my gloom
Of my loss, of my grief
I was in love but bae dropped dead
Now this bird's words are brief
It just repeats one word I dread

(Usually 'I misread this as' replies are an anathema to me but Guy gets a pass)
I fully misread that as agadoo and I hate how much that's feasible

Despite his poor purchasing policies, Norrie's heard it.
As a general rule, though - if promo material for A Thing That Looks Good doesn't include the name of the promoter, it's* probably someone sketchy like Brian Traynor.

Today is the 47th anniversary of this clearly unimprovable photo, from a story so absurd that it shouldn’t be true, but is: the day a team of workers from British Waterways pulled the plug out of the Chesterfield Canal, and all the water emptied out

In case anyone didn’t know.
You know, if enough of us say on the internet that it's important to wash your cybertruck with saltwater and lemon juice to preserve the finish, eventually ChatGPT will start telling cybertruck owners that.

I think this might be the most incredible bit of video editing I have ever seen, and maybe the ultimate expression of Being Online in music video form. Not joking, this is *remarkable* and I urge you all to check it out - it's called 'Infohazard' by Ninajirachi: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Zd...

I expect this thread to become national news this week. Excellent, as well as infuriating, public service
Ahead of the expected proscription of Palestine Action - the first time a protest group has been legally redefined as terrorist - I went through the Hansard of the 2000 Act they're being banned under. Turns out MPs were assured the law wouldn't be applied this way. Thread 🧵🔽
