by age 30 you should have:

* strong opinions about birds
* 12 different "when i get time" projects on indefinite hiatus
* sandwich(es) you fruitlessly yearn to have again
* a growing list of obituaries you're looking forward to reading
* parasocial friendships with other people's pets

Disability benefits cuts affect us all. Anyone can become disabled at any point.

The government’s concessions will leave those who become disabled in the future with even less support than today.

A third of disabled people are already in poverty. We cannot allow this to grow.

In sharing her story, @rachelcdailey.bsky.social has given a great example of how cuts to #disabilitybenefits will stop people from being able to work and see them lose everything they’ve worked for until now. Where’s the morality in that Starmer?

If something is accessible to the public, it should be accessible to ALL of the public.
Disabled people are part of the public.

Disabled people advocate for masking to attend work and protests, and it's "no, you should stay home".

Disabled people can't attend work or protests, and it's "you can't do anything, so why should we care?".

The world constantly excludes us, then punishes us for it. Fight it!

Some people get so baffled by the fact I'm working in the NHS as a disabled person (although me too tbf but for different reasons entirely 🙃)

Today I had a 111 nurse tell me that I should go to a&e, and when I tried to make a joke that 'at least it's just downstairs' she just FULLY blanked omg
