Apple Weather is constantly telling me to “expect rain in the next hour”, yet none is arriving.
Why? The app appears to be forward-propagating this precipitation without accounting for its topographic locking and dissipation downwind of the Cairngorms (one contributor to Fife’s dry, sunny climate)

Update: La Ceiba, Honduras, now reporting over 34 inches of total rainfall from #Sara.
As pointed out by @agnes1972.bsky.social earlier, that matches their rain total from 1998's Hurricane Mitch.
With rain rates of 2-3.5 inches an hour, they'll crush their Mitch total.
