Yellow level snowfall and winter storm (red oval) warnings have been issued for central Alberta including the Edmonton area.

Heavy snow starting tonight with 15 to 30 cm possible and even up 40 cm in some areas. Strong winds up to 60 in WS area.

Next week we get back into freezing temps, with highs in the negative teens and overnight lows in the negative twenties.

10.2°C will be the high.

I tweeted earlier that Feb 4th was the only day in February without a record high exceeding 10°C but that appears to be not the case. Apparently Feb 3rd’s record high is 9.4°C, I thought it was 10.0°C.

Previous record was 9.4°C which was set in 1991.
