Not a bad forecast for this week, a couple fairly cold overnight's and we're getting some precip Wednesday night into Thursday as we'll see rain change to periods of snow.

We'll know more about totals as we get closer but as of right now we could be around 5cm.

Edmonton has seen its first frost.

Not too many places in Alberta that are above freezing this morning.

The “hot spot” at 4.1°C is Egg Island, which is in the middle of Lake Athabasca.

The cold spots are Leedale (by Rimbey) and Abee (by Thorhild) at -9.8°C.

Hello Orion, my old friend.

It’s great to see you again.

Best viewed when the lights are turned out.

Your return in fall is never in doubt.

I know Bruce would’ve liked this tweet.

I miss him.

The AQHI is currently 10.

Expect smoke to start dissipating today and we should be back to normal by tomorrow.

Also, while we're here.

The growing season has come to an end, so ECCC will no longer be issuing frost advisories, check local forecasts for temps.

Frost advisories have been issued for areas by Edmonton and east to the Sask border as temps are expected to dip close to the freezing mark overnight.

The city itself is not included in the advisory but people outside the Henday may want to cover their plants.

Overnight Wednesday into Thursday we may see a risk of frost in the outlying areas of the city as it could get close to the freezing mark, so prepare to cover those plants if necessary.

It’s now officially fall as the equinox happened at 12:19pm.

We’re at just over 12 hours of daylight and just under 8 hours of true night.

It is my favourite season.

What are some of your favourite things about fall?
