You’re not “too intense”.

You just live in a world that rewards numbness.

You’re not “too sensitive”.

You just feel - in a culture built on suppression.

You’re not “too rigid”.

You just have boundaries that others never had to fight for.

Hello. A question for researchers from a BA Psych student (wanting to be an academic researcher) :

How do you keep track of research in your field? Do you have notifications on in every journal pertaining to your area of interest?

Hello everyone. Since I have more followers on here than the other place, I wanted to ask:
Does anyone have a thing where your head drops to the side often? It doesn’t hurt, but I’ve noticed it happening a lot now.

Hello all. I was wondering whether anyone has “shock” feelings around the chest area all of a sudden. It’s usually when I’m moving, or when I’ve stood up too quickly from my bedroom to my kitchen. Sometimes even, it’s just sudden. I feel it in my heart, and it makes me keel (?) over almost

Have not seen much on here on Sudan, so I'm amplifying this horrific report that shows the number who are killed is higher than previously estimated.

Adding here other writing to read to understand this war that has displaced over 11 million people; the highest displacement crisis globally. 🧵
More than 61,000 dead in Khartoum state alone, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine's Sudan Research Group finds: 26,000 of them killed as a direct result of the violence. Leading cause of death across Sudan is preventable disease and starvation.

If my followers could help me with this I'd be grateful. There was talk on the other site of the dangers of legalizing MAiD and assisted dy!ng in the context of chronic illness. Someone had a really good 🧵 on it. I'd also like if you all could share your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Why #AltText is so important
I just scrolled #EduSky for a few minutes and counted how many images used alt text vs those that did not.

Only 17 images had alt text whereas 36 did not. This means our community is not accessible to blind users or others who use screen readers.

We have a lot of room for improvement. 🧵

Time to go to bat again, folks. They're trying to ram the bill through that would allow the Dep't of Treasury to arbitrarily label a nonprofit a terrorist organization and strip it of its 501(c) status.

Can't emphasize enough that no evidence is required to do so.

House GOP Moves to Ram Through Bill That Gives Trump Unilateral Power to Kill Nonprofits
A bill to give Donald Trump power to kill nonprofits is still supported by dozens of Democrats — giving the GOP plenty of breathing room.

Small acts of support mean the world to someone who’s lost their ability to care for themselves.

I’m over the moon if someone offers to change my sheets, bring a homemade meal or accompany me to a doctors appointment.

Just BE there for us - and when it’s your turn - we will be there for you /end

“If it were really THAT bad you would be getting help.”

No. There’s NO help available for the lions share of chronic illness & disabilities

Don’t punish us because you need you need to remain in denial about the frail nature of our bodies. About our crumbling healthcare systems. About disability.
