Illustrating just how BRIGHT our sun is, this is the sun (through a dark filter) casting the shadow of a Falcon 9 rocket's incandescent exhaust plume.

It's been 75 years since the Schuman Declaration.

On 9 May 1950, in a continent still recovering from World War II, French foreign minister Robert Schuman proposed uniting coal and steel industries to rebuild peace and foster solidarity. It was the first step toward today’s EU 🇪🇺

Before the time of Internet, from a time of Cold War during the 1960's, 70's and 80's, listening to short wave radio from all around Europe was the way of "surfing around" during those years. Nothing was better in the past, but I do remember most of these cute jingles. 🔊🕰️
