If you're looking for a change in the weather, don't give up hope.

Whilst the next few days will remain unsettled and often wet, drier - albeit colder, weather is likely later in the week 📉

A fairly mild and also drier afternoon for many compared to recently, but showers are still possible with a zone of heavier rain extending northeast from the West Country and into the Midlands.

Windy and rather cold in northeast Scotland with more general rain at times here 🌧️

Cold, wet and windy in northeast Scotland this afternoon. Not as cold as recently elsewhere with bands of rain or showers moving north, especially across England and Wales.

A better prospect of brighter intervals compared to recent days though and feeling mild in any sunshine🌦️

It's felt almost spring-like in the sunshine in the extreme south of England this afternoon 🌤️

However it's a different story for everyone else, particularly in the north where there's still a raw easterly wind 🥶
