If you're looking for some distraction this weekend, you could do a lot worse than this mild hallucinogen from 1943. Without giving anything away, let's just say that you will never look at bananas the same way again — unless you looked at them a certain way in the first place, of course

My dad, Don Seybold, has died.

Made jazz radio across six decades; jazz presenter & agent; at 60, started teaching jazz history.

So charismatic, he excelled at sales, politics, seduction, storytelling.

He used it to promote other people’s art.

Life tested his ethics many times. He always passed.

The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

Foiled. And I can't tell if I'm annoyed or proud: The kids quickly recognized me as a shared foe trying to grab the surplus for myself. They unionized and refused to bid against each other. Organized labor negotiated a settlement that better served their collective interests.

Take pride in our fellow American, Sen. Mark Kelly, vigorously standing up for the Constitution and against a violence-inciting White House occupant who is failing to intimidate this good man and honorable public servant.
Mark Kelly: "My wife, Gabby Giffords, meeting with her constituents, shot in the head. Six people killed around her, a horrific thing. She spent six months in the hospital. We know what political violence is and we know what causes it too, The statements that Donald Trump made incites others."

This might be really helpful for many folks out there.

Remember, when it comes to riding bikes for transportation in the winter, “there’s no bad weather, just bad clothes.”

(And bad infrastructure and maintenance decisions from city hall)
Hey winter cyclists: the smartest thing I've done after threatening to do it for too many years was actually write down what to wear based on temperature. This helped immensely last year, and winter is coming 🥶
