The first autism diagnosis was in 1943. ADHD traits were first spotted in 1798. The first medical treatment for ADHD was in 1937. His grandfather lobotomized his aunt, Rosemary, for showing neurodivergent traits in 1941. He was born in 1954. He’s a grifter, a liar, and most importantly a eugenicist

The eugenicist undertones (or just tones) to RFK's statement about autism are kind of fascinating in that they replicate historical attitudes towards productive vs burdensome members of society, but also breaks with that tradition by seemingly lamenting that they (supposedly) can't have children.

This is a big deal. Spread the word. But it’s tiny compared to the totality of what’s happening at NIH. Cure Research for all cancers, Alzheimer’s, everything is being gutted. Intentionally. It’s all getting burned to the ground but the news isn’t getting out. The new cures won’t be there for you.

yall we can’t collectively screech that “no one’s doing anything!” and then say “no not like that” when someone actually does something.

is Booker’s filibuster gonna save the world? of course not. but since courage begets courage it could lead to more. I’m fucking cynical as hell but come on.

The reason that the US is locking up tourists for weeks in hellish detention centers rather than letting them book tickets back home is because the detention centers are owned by corporations. They are charging the taxpayers fortunes to cage these people, and making bonanzas off their suffering.

Our capitalist society sees profit as the point of human society, and profit is most harmed by cost, and cost is most caused by labor of humans, so inevitably this will be a society that increasingly sees humans as a problem to eliminate, which is why that is how it is training its machines now.

Also, insane as it is, the deeper problem is not *this specific incident*. It’s that the entire top tier of national security officials are routinely violating the most basic protocols for dealing with the most sensitive information in multiple ways.
Would a headline ever, EVER have called this a “mishap” if it had been done under Biden or Obama? No, absolutely not.

And, for bonus, a Susan Collins-esque “learned a lesson” quote from the president, treating his national security advisor like a chastened 7-year-old.
