I'm still not over this descent.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

On the last 6 chapters of this book & my poor heroine is not having a good time.
“Why did you wait so long to tell me?” she’d demanded.
“I hadn’t wanted to ruin your day.”
“I watched thirty people get their heads cut chopped off and countless others lose their tongues. My day was already ruined.”

Also, you gotta periodically check your Gmail settings because, like Microsoft and its AI shit, it will turn itself back on.
heads up, gmail has a new setting automatically on that allows their a*i to be trained on your emails so make sure to turn off the 'Smart Feature' checkbox in your settings

What's great about the film, Natural Born Killers is that it fulfils this requirement as well as the HEA.

I saw the most bonkers conversation on tiktok where people were arguing that Romance doesn’t need an HEA and authors were fighting for their lives in the comments trying to explain what a genre convention is. Again, trying to sell me a mystery with no crime and see what happens.

so glad the child sexual abuse panic was squarely pointed at folks like me by the people actually doing it & the public was like “yeah, seems right—freaks did it. not the men with all the money & fighting to keep child marriage legal, the women that are legal to kill in 30 states if you’re nervous.”
