Shades of 24 tv show era of “you too would support torture if the terrorists had a nuclear bomb timed to go off in NYC”
Chuck Schumer says ICE should be allowed to wear masks in "unusual circumstances—you know, some guy's picture was put up by a terrorist group or something."

Reminder that Frozen (2010) is a really underrated horror film
A mechanical failure at the Gore Mountain resort in the New York Adirondacks left about 67 people in about 20 gondolas hovering above the snow for several hours.

It’s great how Danica Patrick and Caitlyn Jenner decided to side with the chuds who rooted against them every step of the way

This makes me feel ancient, but... "the kids today" have no idea how EXCITING the annual airing of "Wizard of Oz" was. It was "plan your week around watching" exciting. It was "That was great, now I can't wait for next year" exciting. It was "Hide under a chair from the flying monkeys" exciting.

When Trump was coming up
his dad was too busy complaining about the Blacks and the Jews to lead his family in saying grace before meals
Trump mocks the idea of praying during a meal at the National Prayer Breakfast:

“Mike Johnson is a very religious person... He’ll say to me sometimes at lunch, ‘Sir, may we pray?’ I say, ‘Excuse me?’ You know, we’re having lunch.”

NW Malcolm X, one of those rare pieces of epic filmmaking that gets better and builds momentum as it goes. Denzel Washington lost Best Actor to Pacino in Scent of a Woman lol? Also: “bamboozled” is the best word in the English language

The most unpopular administration in history and the Dems are still looking for ways to lose the next presidential election
Apparently, the KamalaHQ accounts are rebranding as "Headquarters," a "new Gen-Z led progressive content hub."

Looking forward to hearing Megyn Kelly tell Kid Rock to “sing for me, bitch” after he injects politics into the TPUSA halftime show
Megyn Kelly’s response to Billie Eilish’s anti-ICE speech at the Grammys was to tell her to shut up and “sing for me, bitch.”

No one is talking about the real story, which is that the President of the United States shat himself so badly during the “Melania” premiere that they had to shut down the entire Kennedy Center for two years.

You can read the transcript of this miserable podcast on Spotify if you can’t be bothered to listen to it. It is fucking vile. I got halfway through but it was making me sick

Hopefully the Letterboxd era of movie appreciation will end up better than the Ain’t It Cool era of movie appreciation because that was a disaster

Watched The Plague last night. Good movie. It’s set in 2003. Is there a trend to set movies in the recognizable past, just long enough ago that the filmmakers don’t have to factor in cellphones? The Plague would be a completely different movie if all the boys were constantly on their phones
