Carl Bates is a NZ mega landlord. One of his rentals is in Epsom Auckland, a stunner that he added to his family's trust in 2024. Bates' portfolio is estimated conservatively at $9-10 million.
Michael Woods was asked to resign for 0.14% of that. MP rentals aren't an issue - but the deceit is #nzpol

There were approximate 1294 mega landlords as of 2023, owning 26,000 properties - the equivalent of Rotorua. Plus: Recent events strengthen the Coalition.

Our family has downsized both our vehicles in the last few years (will soon be down to one mid size vehicle). Our house in the last month is 1/3 of its previous size and we are way better off for it.

The LW is $27.80 an hour. Dropping to minimum wage would mean losing $186 a week for a full-time worker - or $9,672 a year. How will that benefit anyone? It just means more child poverty, higher welfare payments, and more income insecurity. Is this really how we "go for growth"?

The Government is proposing to scrap 24 of the current 71 rules. More openness is not promised.

10 cents for an antibiotic pill: 'unaffordable'. Thousands of $ for a preventable hospitalisation or death? Not a problem.
