It's incredibly weird that folks have convinced themselves that the Covid vaccines - which had an ~82^% take up rate - were unpopular.
Wow. New NBC poll finds 78% support vaccines, including 72% of independents and 67% of Republicans.

As I keep trying to argue, Democrats should polarize the shit out of the vaccine/public health debate. Make people take sides. It will split Republicans and MAGA.

See this:
Trump/RFK are decapitating our public health system, a pillar of American greatness. So Dem Govs should scour every corner of the law for creative new ways to defend their people from this madness.

Dems should polarize this debate to the max.

Thoughts on this here:

Perceptions of the popularity of anything Trump does are extremely warped among the chattering classes. A lot of people seem to have convinced themselves that deploying troops to American cities is hugely popular. It has like 58% disapproval!

People are often surprised to learn that Lee was an officer who never made it past colonel. The purported promotion to general was awarded by a treasonous cabal calling itself the "confederate states of america" which was put down by force by the Union army, which also had superior generals.
The Pentagon is restoring a portrait of Gen. Robert E. Lee, which includes a slave guiding the Confederate general’s horse in the background, to the West Point library three years after a congressionally mandated commission ordered it removed, officials said.

Exactly!

Lee was a traitor. Full stop. His (largely imaginary) reputation was created by Jim Crow segregationists long after his death.

The president of the United States, wearing a novelty hat that says he’s always right and sitting next to the World Cup trophy he stole, insists that “African American ladies, beautiful ladies” are demanding he invade Chicago with the military.
Trump: After we do this, we will go to another location and make it safe too. Chicago is a mess. That will probably be our next one after this. They are screaming for us to come. African American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying "Please President Trump, come to Chicago, please."

Genuine lol at the NYT referring to “bribing a reporter” as “a bold departure from political norms.” A complete and total allergy to calling bad things bad (provided it’s not anyone that can be cast as progressive doing the things)

It could be that Trump is just cringingly openly desperate for Putin to like and admire him and it makes him servile and obsequious.
Liberals overthink kompromat. What does Putin have on Trump? It's probably little more than this: do what I say or I will tell everyone I beat Hillary Clinton for you. It wouldn't need to be true, though it is true, for that to crush Trump.

I want to congratulate leading Democrats’ for their insistence on saying the takeover of DC is a “stunt” or a “distraction.”

It’s a rare trifecta of intellectual failure, political stupidity, and moral obtuseness.

A man understandably refused to hand over his ID or get out of the car for a bunch of masked thugs who refused to identify themselves.

And when he drove away, they opened fire on him.

This isn’t how you do any sort of enforcement when your goal is to uphold the law. This is gangsterism.

The adamant elite refusal to call bullshit is a big part of How We Got Here.

The prevailing cultural attitude for years is you must not, under any circumstances, treat anything as bad faith. You are obligated to find some reasonable idea and engage with that, even if you distort to get there.
