Someone on IG just insinuated that rather than posting about how I still consume a problematic person’s media (not giving them any more money, consuming the media I have owned for years) I should just consume it in secret and not admit to it publicly. There is something so gross about that to me

the world they want is one where you're either unemployed or work an almost no wage job, you have almost no political input or self determination and you’re happy about it because you can get a t-shirt off temu for a $1
The plan is to crash the economy to suppress wages.

I don't know if this is an autistic-brain thing, but one of the thing that really freaks me out about the current reality is that I really deeply and fundamentally don't understand why anyone would ever choose cruelty over problem-solving.

I can’t believe there are people who are like: “Do you still think AI is stupid now that it can make an ad for Coca-Cola that’s a mashup of their previous ads that looks worse and all it costs is an acre of forest?”

My grandmother, who was born and lived her whole life in Alabama, secretly voted for jimmy carter. She never told her husband, but she did tell my (liberal black sheep) mom. 💜

Every single one of these articles is the same: Blame Democrats for capitulating to "progressive advocates," blithely note that no one in power has actually done that, then tell Democrats to do exactly what they're already doing.

And the thing is, I DO feel sorry for his children. They don’t deserve to lose a father.

But if you marry somebody whose job it is to let people die? I don’t know how much sympathy I can have for you.

A great pet peeve of mine is when clothing companies refer to plastic garments as "vegan leather." Throwing a virtuous health halo around a petroleum product is wild. Next it'll be all-natural organic cyanide

It’s been 35 days and my heart is still broken. I will never understand how so many could be so easily duped. I miss the joy. I miss the laughter. I miss the music. I miss the hope. I miss Tim Walz’ dad-isms.

Where my shoebox project heads at
Assuming all fanfiction is written poorly really just shows you've never been caught in the chokehold of a 150k slowburn that changed the course of your life at 2:40am written by someone whose username has 4 Zs in it and they only wrote one fic and then vanished like an ethereal legend.

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.
