it’s also just a misunderstanding of corporate DEI, which is a regular HR function to insulate the firm from title ix and civil rights lawsuits that doubles as an employee retention program by making the culture not hostile to non-white, female, queer, etc employees so they don’t quit.
Genuinely have never met a white dude who complained about DEI, quotas and affirmative action who wasn't leaking mediocrity from every pore, so this all checks out
