After the nonstop parade of layoffs in public media (which is sure to get worse now that CPB is officially dead) I have this to say:

I feel I should explain this a bit, having grown up around the US Navy sub fleet. First off, the B-2 bombers (one leg of the nuclear triad) are *explicitly shown* in AHOD as already loitering in the air at their holding points...waiting for orders.

This is why AHOD can't show POTUS giving the order to launch. It strains credibility too much. It's already ridiculous that Gen Brady would be all but screaming that they have to launch immediately at, well, everyone, or risk losing the ability to do so. That's just nonsense.

@dicknixon.bsky.social @dankennedy.net this isn't reported often enough. Too many media outlets are just reporting that KBJ is allowing kids to go hungry, and oversimplifying a complicated and idiotic process where she did her best to avoid exactly that.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.
Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.
