I think it was about her being a supporter of the soccer stadium, which is a dreadful waste of money for everyone in the state.

There's a shitty Mel Gibson movie with exactly this plot, and, well. That really sums it up in so many ways, doesn't it?

It wasn't Regunberg. Jesus.
November 22, 2025 at 11:40 PM
Indeed. Don't we all?

For what it's worth, I was going to vote Sandra Cano in the primary until the last two weeks when she put her foot wrong on something. I don't even remember what it was but I recall it was stupid. Christ, I don't even remember who I DID vote for... 🤔

Sooner or later, one of them is going to launch a single ICBM that nukes Chicago, and both of their models will refuse to ever show the end result.

(In the primary, I mean. I voted for Amo in the general because Leonard was and is a goddamn tool.)

Note that I'm not saying there aren't shit pols who are nonwhite. I'm saying that the best up and coming politicians aren't white. None of them. Don't for one minute underestimate how unusual that is.
November 22, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Notice something about the skin color of all these people? I don't think it's an accident that the white politicians are shittier every year while the best and brightest tend to be nonwhite.

She'll still be lying, and low, in '29, too.

Magaziner cannot possibly disappoint me. Make of that what you will.

Amo I have to keep reminding myself that he worked in the Biden WH and, well, that explains a lot. I'm certainly glad I didn't vote for him.

There's a 24 year age gap between him and his wife. 😳 He doesn't want anything to do with the Epstein Files because he's probably IN THEM.

And what's worse is that even a hard freeze of several days isn't enough to kill these goddamn ticks. It requires WEEKS of subfreezing weather to have a chance kill them (it's still not universal) and we just don't get weeks of subfreezing weather in Southern New England (MA, CT, RI) anymore.

Jesus Christ, it's disgusting how hard they're trying to hide that it's a REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN that she works for.
November 21, 2025 at 3:33 AM
No, because the Trumpazoids in their districts will skin them alive for it.
November 21, 2025 at 3:30 AM
I wish humans had been wired to have the same reaction. That'd be awesome.

Of course, just the fact that we're having this conversation shows how good a filmmaker Bigelow is, and how good AHOD is, too. It's got a lot of chads whining mightily but it's also provoking a lot of good solid discussions.
