‘But what, precisely, was repudiated?

Was it the party’s traditional values of smaller government, lower taxes and free markets? Or Peter Dutton’s values of higher taxes, bigger government and more intervention?’

Liberals followed Dutton into unfamiliar territory. And he led them off a cliff
Which Liberal Party was repudiated yesterday? The confusion about what the party stood for under Peter Dutton was a key reason for its loss — and means a much more difficult recovery.

When the 2019 election was called, the first Newspoll had Labor at 52-48, before the final result of 51.53-48.47 to the LNP.

In 2022, it was 53-47, before landing on 52.1-47.9% to Labor.

A lot can happen in five weeks and polling today won't reflect the final result.

If you’re looking for someone to blame for the housing crisis, it’s probably not the person next to you in the incredibly long queue for a rental inspection.
Blame those who caused it, and those who benefit from it:
The banks
The property developers
The real estate agents
The politicians in power.
