A federal immigration officer has shot and killed a person in Minneapolis, DHS said.

Hundreds gathered at the scene in protest. The shooting took place in a middle-class neighborhood, about a mile from the place where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

NEW: A federal judge restricted the Trump admin’s ability to arrest suspected undocumented immigrants in D.C. without a warrant, saying the arrests are only permissible if authorities have good reason to believe the person is likely to escape.
