If a US Representative just quietly accepts a bathroom ban and misgendering, that is not a neutral act. It shows cis people it's ok, and trans people to just take it.
If she's not going to use that seat to advocate, give it to someone who will.

By getting up on the national stage and just taking all the abuse and dismissing it as a problem she was essentially setting a precedent for the cis about how ALL OF US should act, and thus, making it easier for them to consider those of us who do have a backbone to be radical and unreasonable.
