Nigel Farage wants to drag Britain down the same road as Trump’s America: chaos, division and fear. Our NHS, our rights and our communities are at risk. Do not let Trump’s America become Farage’s Britain.

This really reflects how technocratic neoliberal logic has captured the centre of political spectrum. The argument against it is not moral or ethical, it's on cost and feasibility grounds. It's the logic of managing the numbers is what gets you elected.
Keir Starmer’s spokesperson asked for the PM's response to Nigel Farage’s plan to deport hundreds of thousands of people living and working completely legally in the UK, replies that he thinks it is “unworkable” and “unfunded”.

So his objection is that they’ve got their sums wrong

Trump’s autocratic attempt to silence comedians reminds me of the “whisper jokes” of Nazi Germany. Those were jokes you dared not say in public if you didn't want to end up in a concentration camp. This thread has a few of those "whisper jokes." 1/🧵

Nigel Farage is claiming to Congress that the UK gov deliberately withheld details of the Southport attacker from the public.

This is dangerous and it’s false. The attacker was under 18, and so a court had to give express permission to release his name in exceptional circumstances, which it did.

Pritzker should mobilize the Illinois National Guard to oppose them. Extreme? Maybe. But I don’t see why he should just let another state effectively invade his.
These problems are even bigger. As a constitutional matter, the deployment of unfederalized Guard personnel into a nonconsenting state can never happen. Never.
