NOAA was crucial for us here in SoCal helping to provide much needed information about the deadly winds prior to the #LAfires. Had we not known about the risks, multiple agencies would not have been staged the way they were to save many other communities so quickly.
NOAA is on the chopping block, and that’s infuriating. The scientists at NOAA make us safer and stronger. They forecast weather, track wildfires, provide tsunami warning, respond to climate change, and more, and they are especially important for coastal communities.
