Senators reach tentative deal to end the government shutdown
The deal, negotiated by a group of Democrats and GOP leaders, funds the government through Jan. 30. If it passes, it will still need to clear the House, which will likely take days.

BREAKING NEWS: We just secured a final court order blocking National Guard deployment!

Today's ruling is a huge victory for Oregon. The courts are holding this administration accountable to the truth and the rule of law.

Oregonians got some good news today that their SNAP benefits have come through. It's unacceptable that the Trump administration originally refused to release the SNAP funding even after ordered to do so by a court order. It should never have come to this.

The Trump Administration is terrorizing individuals, families, and communities. I'm infuriated by the extreme overreach and cruel tactics ICE is using to carry out the administration's inhumane deportation agenda.

Great news: after multiple court orders, Oregon SNAP benefits have been restored. Now we need the House Republicans to get back to Washington DC and work with us to open the government. Hungry children and families should never be used as political pawns. I’ll do all I can to protect SNAP.

I visited Victor Cruz at the ICE detention center in Tacoma today. He should not be there.

ICE took Victor not because he committed a crime, but because he has the same name as someone else. I continue to call for his immediate release and his return to his home and family.
