It is disturbing that the Trump administration and Congressional Republicans are making enormous investments ICE but not education.

We need mass education, not mass deportation.

At the Hillsboro Year-Round Shelter I spoke with Metro Councilor Juan Carlos González about the importance of creating partnerships to fund important community projects.

Today the Trump administration is expected to announce that they will be transferring as many as six critical offices out of the Department of Education, further enacting Project 2025’s radical agenda to dismantle the Department and undermine public education.

This was a bad bill that will increase the cost of healthcare, but now Republicans have made it worse. I’m voting no.

This continuing resolution was already a bad bill, but now it’s worse. Republicans slipped in a provision to give hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to some GOP Senators connected to Jan 6, but they still do nothing to improve health care. 🧵

I’ve said it before and I will say it again: I will not support a bill that increases health care costs and cuts essential services for Oregonians and Americans across the country. I am a no.

Oregonians got some good news today that their SNAP benefits have come through. It's unacceptable that the Trump administration originally refused to release the SNAP funding even after ordered to do so by a court order. It should never have come to this.

The Trump administration’s chaotic tariff policies raise costs and harm Oregonians, Americans, and the economy. It is the role of Congress, not the president working on his own, to implement tariffs when appropriate. 🧵

I visited Victor Cruz at the ICE detention center in Tacoma today. He should not be there.

ICE took Victor not because he committed a crime, but because he has the same name as someone else. I continue to call for his immediate release and his return to his home and family.
