Today was a reminder that no one is above the law. I stood with my House colleagues and voted YES to release the Epstein files. The American people deserve transparency. Read more in my statement below.

Several months ago, I led a letter with the @laborcaucus.house.gov, signed by every House Democrat, demanding the restoration of federal workers’ collective bargaining rights. Now, the House is finally being forced to vote on the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act.
House majority forces vote on bill to restore collective bargaining for most federal employees
Republican lawmakers were the final signatures on a discharge petition, forcing a House floor vote on a bill to restore collective bargaining rights.

Yesterday, I joined @PoliticsNation to lay out a harsh truth: the shutdown may be over, but families are still getting hit with notices of soaring monthly healthcare costs. This crisis isn’t over.
@HouseDemocrats and I are standing firm and fighting to fix the Republican-made healthcare mess.

Marylanders, if you normally receive SNAP on or after Nov. 18, you’ll get your full benefits on schedule. If you normally receive SNAP before Nov. 18, you’ll get at least half your benefits on your regular date.

Remaining benefits will be paid on Nov. 18.

Over the weekend, I joined the National Center for Victims of Crime to celebrate 40 years of standing up for survivors. Their work guiding victims through the justice system and ensuring they’re treated with dignity is essential to our community’s safety and healing.

The Trump administration is finally outlining when furloughed federal workers will be paid. Between Sunday & Wednesday, Nov. 19, the men and women who’ve kept our country running through this shutdown will finally get the pay they’re owed.

For 43 days, @housedemocrats.bsky.social stood firm to protect America’s health care and lower health care costs. That's why I voted no on yesterday's partisan Republican spending bill that allowed these tax credits to expire. We are not giving up the fight to lower health care costs.

Proud to join @ncnwhq.bsky.social for this year’s #EdTechquity Summit. Black women make up just 2% of the tech workforce—but that’s changing. Together, we’re breaking barriers and building a future where innovation and opportunity lift everyone.

I’ll be voting NO on the Republican continuing resolution tonight. I refuse to compromise on Americans’ access to affordable health care.

Today, on Veterans Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of all those who have served in uniform — including my father and my father-in-law, who served in the armed services. To all veterans: we see you, we thank you, and we stand by you — today and every day.

If Republicans let the ACA subsidies lapse, premiums will rise sharply for Americans earning $65,000 annually. Here’s what that looks like across the country.

I have been fighting alongside @housedemocrats.bsky.social to cancel cuts, lower costs, and save healthcare. Senate Republicans are ready to walk away & send us a bill that lets those credits expire.

We will not back a bill that makes health care harder to afford or puts profits over people.

At yesterday’s Steering & Policy hearing, I introduced Marylander Bobby Laughlin, who shared how this Republican shutdown is driving up health premiums and cutting off SNAP. His story is one of millions. We need to reopen government and lower healthcare costs.

Maryland is right to sue. Greenbelt won fair and square — the new FBI HQ belongs in Prince George’s County.

The administration’s reversal disregards the law and the process. I’ll keep fighting to bring the FBI home to Greenbelt.
November 7, 2025 at 6:46 PM
The Trump administration steamrolled the law to rip the FBI HQ from Greenbelt. I applaud AG Brown and Prince George’s County for fighting back. I fully support these legal challenges — and I look forward to welcoming the FBI home to Prince George’s County.

The Republican shutdown has dragged on for 38 days and working families are paying the price. Democrats are ready right now to sit down, reopen the government, and lower costs.
November 7, 2025 at 3:05 PM
After seeing the conditions at the current FBI Headquarters today, one thing is obvious: the building is falling apart, and the men and women of the FBI deserve better. Greenbelt is the right choice — and it’s the law. I fully support AG Brown’s suit to hold this administration accountable.

President Trump and House Republicans should be ashamed of themselves. Declaring that you will withhold food assistance from over 42 million Americans via a social media post, in clear defiance of a court order, is a new low for this administration.
November 4, 2025 at 10:54 PM
President Trump is clearly defying the court's order and continues to play politics with hunger. Which Americans don't deserve to have food on their table?
