Los Angeles, CA - A few protesters running down the street warning residents in tents that large amounts of police are coming down San Pedro into 5th Street. One protester was hit by a foam baton, then took a minute to warn the unhoused residents.

"Dawn" Dish Soap and water works best to get pepper spray/tear Gas off skin.
Current best practice recommendations To get it out of your eyes is saline or more realistically plain water with some way to apply pressure to the stream of water. The goal is to flush the eyes and tear ducts clear.

Just waking up. I went to brush my teeth last night and realized I still had tear gas on my face.
What we saw yesterday was a city flooded with cops. Every corner we turned there would be a total blockade, lights were shone in our faces and less lethals pointed at us.

It's Safer in the Front
Faced with intensifying repression and state violence, there is an understandable inclination to seek safety by avoiding confrontation. But this is not always the most effective strategy.

LAPD assisted by the Huntington Beach Police just came in full force firing munitions and with Horse support. Someone was trampled. Another has a serious head injury.

we’ve created a media model that is incapable of understanding solidarity and like, basic humanity. I can’t tell you how many times migrants have expressed concern for Palestine or Sudan to me despite not being from there and going through hardship themselves. It’s really not that complicated
