I rarely post personal things. But I need to talk about my 4-year-old niece, Hope.

She has a rare disease. A drug called elamipretide has helped her survive.

But the FDA recently denied its approval.

Now, her health hangs in the balance.

Please share her story & urge the FDA to reconsider. 🧵

According to @hunterw.bsky.social, Cory Booker is now cutting into the Senate's schedule for today, meaning it's not just a performance, it's an actual act of obstruction and resistance.

This is the kind of leadership we need!

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Well done. More of this, please.
The GOP claims slashing $880 billion from Medicaid is about eliminating "waste, fraud, & abuse.”

That's a smokescreen. The “fraud” amounts to less than 1/10th of 1%, not even close to $880 billion.

Their actual plan slashes coverage for millions & leaves families without care. We won’t be fooled.

No doubt generational changes in leadership are important & necessary at appropriate time.

But this choice isn't only abt generational change, it is abt ideological. AOC is too far left, which contributed to 2024 Democrat loss. That requires reflection, not reward.

We need politics to moderate.
