This holiday season, remember that rather than do anything to lower costs, Donald Trump recommended getting your kids fewer toys this year.

His priority is his billionaire donors, not the American people.

While you slept, the Trump administration banned abortion care for millions of veterans —including in cases of rape, incest, or to save their lives. Veterans who served our country will be less safe and less protected because of this cruel policy.

Department of Veterans Affairs quietly implements abortion ban
A VA spokesperson confirmed to MS NOW that the ban was in place following a Department of Justice memo issued last week.

In just 7 days, Affordable Care Act tax credits expire. Speaker Johnson could have held a vote to extend them after 4 Republicans joined all Democrats on a discharge petition.

He refused, and now health care premiums will double for many Coloradans. We will force a vote to lower these costs.

Jeanette Vizguerra’s release today shows what happens when courts enforce Constitutional protections and justice prevails against the Trump administration’s cruel immigration agenda.

Jeanette Vizguerra’s detention has been an example of the Trump administration’s bigoted immigration policy. They claim to be going after the worst of the worst, but instead they are going after mothers with U.S.-born children and advocates like Jeanette.

House Democrats secured 218 signatures to force a vote on extending the ACA tax credits for 3 years.
We stood on the Capitol steps today with one message for Speaker Johnson: Bring this to the Floor immediately.
Instead, he sent Members home for the rest of the year. It is shameful.

Tonight proved, once again, that Donald Trump is more focused on himself rather than the American people.
December 18, 2025 at 3:18 AM
While Donald Trump and Speaker Johnson claim to have a ‘concept of a plan’ and ‘hundreds of ideas’ for health care policy, the truth is much simpler: they have no real plan to address the health care crisis they created.

Every Republican on Energy & Commerce just voted against our effort to subpoena RFK Jr.

What are they afraid of?

Yesterday’s attack at Brown claimed two lives, with eight students still fighting for theirs. I am praying for them and their families, and grateful for the officers who responded swiftly to stop the shooter. This epidemic of gun violence in our schools must end—enough is enough.

I am horrified by this morning’s antisemitic attack against the Jewish community in Sydney. Hate has no place in our society, here or abroad, and we must condemn it wherever it appears.

I’m praying for the victims’ families and expect the perpetrators to be held accountable.

House Republicans just unveiled their so-called “health care plan,” which is nothing but a collection of failed policies hastily strung together in order to hide the fact that they are solely responsible for premiums that are going to double in the new year.

I've NEVER traded individual stocks throughout my time in public office.
I signed the discharge petition to ban Congressional stock trading because public service isn't about profit. It's about trust. Speaker Johnson should bring this bill to the floor, and Donald Trump should sign it into law.

I just signed the discharge petition to ban Congressional stock trading. Members of Congress should never profit from public service.

We need to pass this law now to restore trust in Congress.

This measles outbreak is a direct result of RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine conspiracy theories. Yet Republicans in Congress refuse to bring him before my Health Subcommittee.
They are abdicating responsibility. There must be accountability for this malpractice that will get more sick kids.

⏰21 days before premiums skyrocket for 22 million Americans. In Denver, that means a 60-year-old couple faces $21,202 in extra costs. A family of four faces $12,167 more. Republicans made clear today they have no interest in lowering costs for working families.

I have been saying for months that I would not support additional offensive weapon sales to Israel that could be used against innocent Palestinians.

Americans need to know: a bipartisan deal to protect fertility care for our troops was ready to go — and overnight, the Speaker torpedoed it. It’s control, plain and simple. Those who fight for our freedom deserve the same freedom to build their families on their terms.

The Crapo/Cassidy proposal doesn't even extend the ACA tax credits, leaving thousands of Coloradans to suffer with premiums that now cost double. This is nothing more than a smokescreen for Republicans to hide behind as they reject Democrats' proposal to simply extend the credits.
