There is a very simple reason New York Democrats shouldn't vote for Andrew Cuomo: he is actually a Republican.

When given a chance to help Republicans maintain control of his state, he took it. He actively works to keep Democrats from achieving their goals and takes money from Trump supporters.

Impossible to not make a note that this is already how American white supremacists are talking in public about immigration 👍
That it’s possible to say this in public with no consequences is ultimate proof cancel culture is not a thing.

During the largest protest in U.S. history, a protest against the gravest threat either has faced in their time in politics, Schumer and Jefferies were at the Hamptons wedding of a mega-donor.

It's hardly a surprise the base wants better.

hi, cis folks!

check this one from @ericmgarcia.bsky.social detailing coy, deliberately obtuse dems statements about challenging the ban on trans care in the budget.

then tap the thread. call. evidently they still worry this will hurt them. tell them standing for trans people is a winning issue.

In stark contrast to the murder of the United HealthCare CEO, I might add.
They murdered top Democrats in their homes 5 days ago and the president and corporate media could not care less.

she should have been clearer that the NYT reserves the right to make an endorsement if it's seeking to promote a serial sex pest. After all, it's in the public's interest to create a precedent to defend the careers of other powerful men the editors might happen to know.
NYT’s opinion editor tells me the Times was “imprecise” when it announced its ban on endorsements in local elections last year. And they now “reserve the option to make endorsements in the future.”

Plus: Musk’s AI and Loomer take on the SF Chronicle— get it wrong.

Latest compelling reason to vote for Mamdani. From an architect of American inequality who once dismissed Europe as "a museum" and fails to appreciate that they understand and practice capitalism far more effectively than we have been during four decades of pro-billionaire neoliberalism.

It’s patently clear that the people in power in this country do not want to end homelessness.
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me

The ADL has sacrificed every single tenet of Judaism in exchange for silencing criticism of a genocidal government.

The existence of Israel has never and will never keep American Jews safe. But political deportations endanger every Jew (and every other vulnerable population) in the country.
Well, there it is folks. The official ADL position is support for Trump secret police to illegally detain and deport green card holders if they are part of pro-Palestine protests. If and when DHS starts doing this to citizens, count on the ADL to continue its support. This is who they are.

This is *exactly* step one of the same strategy Russia and Hungary used to criminalize dissent.

After that, they began to label nonprofit and political organizations as foreign agents, then started to restrict and ban on that basis.

Number 1 reason fascists and reactionaries hate universities is because we empower young people to develop their critical thinking skills. A key thing to grasp about these people is that they know they can't win an argument on their merits.
I think the real “crisis in masculinity” is a crisis of credulity, where young men are looking at guys like Andrew Tate and The Liver King and are thinking “this is a realistic lifestyle I can attain” and not “these guys are full of shit and playing a character for the camera”
