A bunch of new people followed me recently so I must remind you that I wrote a biography of Henri Bergson called Herald of a Restless World.
I wrote it with my HANDS and BRAIN and I'm very proud of it. John Banville called it “The most intellectually stimulating book I read this year” (last year).
You know I have a writing deadline because instead of writing, I just googled “do some people have bigger eyes than others or do they just have smaller heads?”

In French chat gpt sounds like "chatte j'ai pété" which means "pussy I farted". Every time a French person talks about chat gpt it sounds like they are saying "pussy I farted"

We don't talk about this enough

Sharing this review of my book by @alexandrelefebvre.bsky.social again because, in addition to saying lovely things about Herald of a Restless World, it is a really excellent article about Bergson lareviewofbooks.org/article/when...

This is one of the most compelling 'party political broadcasts' I've seen in decades. No wonder Labour is petrified about being eclipsed by the Green Party. There is an alternative to the politics of austerity and the weaponisation of prejudice and xenophobia and yes finally a glimmer of hope.
