A bunch of new people followed me recently so I must remind you that I wrote a biography of Henri Bergson called Herald of a Restless World.
I wrote it with my HANDS and BRAIN and I'm very proud of it. John Banville called it “The most intellectually stimulating book I read this year” (last year).

And very enjoyable it is. Bergson has been present in our world but invisible and uncredited. This book reveals him again and restores his (Bergsonian) élan and a relevance dismissed after 1914.

Grâce à @emilyherring.bsky.social et à son beau livre, dynamique et bien informé, sur Bergson, je découvre l'histoire des "Rayons-N" (N comme Nancy), qui flatte paradoxalement mon patriotisme lorrain.

I think the main difference is that analytic philosophers are nerds and continentals are hot.

Read it to find out about Bergson's philosophy of durée, his secret meeting with President Wilson during WWI, and why he caused the first ever traffic jam on Broadway!
