Here is a true political leader in case Keir Starmer and Darren Jones were wondering what one looked like. It turns out politicians are perfectly capable of identifying breaches of federal and international law.

I have to agree with my esteemed colleague and Starmer's insistence that he will continue as leader despite the worst polling numbers in history represents an existential threat to Labour as a political party.
A brutal assessment of Starmer by the veteran pollster John Curtice. That he hasn't got the skill set to be PM was obvious in 2015 after he was parachuted into Parliament, having had no previous experience of politics at any level.

At last, it's finally said out loud.

Even Nigel Farage has said bombing a foreign country and kidnapping its leader and his wife is in breach of international law Darren. You really don't need the letters KC after your name to point out the very obvious.

Says the guy who had to get the Body Shop lady to blag him a place at a university from which he'd been rejected. Kyle is one of the most egregious examples of failing up in British public life and we certainly don't need him pontificating on British students' lack of drive. They have plenty.

The craven Trumpian vassal in his own words. The only thing missing from this confession is "the US and Israel" since Starmer regards unconditional support for Netanyahu as equally important as the love he shows for Trump.
Keir Starmer: "I constantly remind myself that 24/7 our defence, our security & our intelligent relationship with the US matters probably more than any other relationship we've got in the world and it would not be in our national interest to weaken that in any way"
January 4, 2026 at 11:57 AM
Why can't Keir Starmer talk like this ever? He seems not to understand what true leadership and statesmanship is whereas Kamala Harris clearly does. The more you ignore, pardon and excuse tyranny the worse it gets. Greenland will be next and craven vassals like Starmer will ensure it happens.

This is what a Prime Minister with integrity and principles should be saying about the criminal and outlaw government currently in charge of the USA. Unfortunately we have no such Prime Minister.
The PM and Foreign Secretary should be condemning this illegal strike and breach of international human rights law.

After years of arming a genocide and worshipping the “special relationship”, Trump now believes he can act with impunity.

Blair was George W. Bush's poodle. Starmer appears to be Donald Trump's cockapoodle. A craven and spineless servant of imperialism with a complete disregard for Britain's national interest.
Keir Starmer says he wants to establish facts by *watching Donald Trumps press conference.*

People said giving him a second state visit was a genius move of strategy - really seems to have paid off.

Special relationship - alive and kicking.

Bullsh*t. The Tango Tyrant does nothing without Putin's prior approval. This is a massive green light for Moscow to carry on treating Ukraine and indeed every other neighbouring territory like Washington has always treated Latin America. Submit to the imperium or get couped.
Russian government says it’s “deeply worried” by the US strikes in Venezuela

Any statement from the British Prime Minister or any of his Cabinet ministers condemning this unlawful act of war and kidnapping of the head of a foreign state and his spouse? Anything at all?

The United States under Trump is a blatant threat to world peace & security. It is impossible to do business as usual with this mad man. Congress must impeach or constitutional democracy is finished

The steep growth of the purple line at a time of falling living standards, NHS crisis, genocidal wars & climate collapse shows the extent of the ideological capture of our media & political systems by wealthy rw plutocrats & hostile state actors who push division, hatred & prejudice because it works

And not forgetting the current England Test cricket captain Ben Stokes (b. 4 June 1991 in Christchurch, New Zealand ).
So Boris Johnson, Prince Phillip, Andrew Bonar Law, Freddie Mercury, George I, George II, Richard E Grant, Douglas Carswell, Rudyard Kipling, Cliff Richard, Joanna Lumley and Spike Milligan weren't British?

Also even though all the files are a hoax especially the made up ones that mention Trump we felt it necessary to redact & let's be honest just plain old disappear 99.99% of them to protect the hoax victims and to avoid prejudicing any ongoing non existent investigations of non existent perpetrators

Wow so 2 maybe 3 cheers for Trump from a newspaper which the same man described as 'a threat to national security'. You would think the President's unprecedented attacks on free speech and press freedom might get a mention in this 'progress review'.
This is how the New York Times sums up Trump’s term so far.

For 49 days this woman was the actual Prime Minister of the actual United Kingdom. Many millions are still paying higher mortgages and credit card bills as a consequence. The reputation of the UK as a serious country remains permanently damaged.
We laugh at Liz Truss, but she has become a monster.

This arrest is extremely troubling bec supporting hunger striking prisoners who complain of multiple abuses in prison incl. extended detention without trial is not the same as endorsing a proscribed organisation. If it is-arrest the MPs who have also protested.
